(Just to make sure, I powered it down and saw its status change to "Stentura: disconnected," powered it back up and refreshed it to "connected" again. I insured that the Smartwriter was on and refreshed the connection and got the message "Stentura: connected". I configured the "Machine" tab to "Stentura" and set the COM port to the one the USB converter has assigned itself (COM3). I'm working with Plover 2.5.8 under Windows 7. The Smartwriter was working with DigitalCat (it was personally demonstrated to me to show me that it worked) and I was given the unit, its USB/Serial converter (a TrendNet TU-S9), and its original Stenograph M/F 6' serial cable. ![]() By a huge stroke of luck I have gotten a hold of a Stenograph Smartwriter (an older unit with internal 3.5" floppy drive and DB9 female serial interface) and I'm trying to get it working with Plover. ![]()
